Founded by cultural strategist and pioneering editor Lemara Lindsay-Prince.
Her career spans transformative work across publishing, cultural partnerships, and platform-building, with a clear mission: to amplify global majority voices and reimagine the British literary landscape. As the former publishing lead at the award-winning Merky Books, she shaped and published titles with lasting cultural resonance—from Keisha The Sket to the autobiographies of Caster Semenya and Malorie Blackman. She acquired powerful works from influential voices including the late Virgil Abloh, T.S. Eliot and Forward Prize winner Jason Allen-Paisant, and MacArthur Fellow Tressie McMillan Cottom. She also initiated one of the imprint’s first brand partnerships with HSBC through the How To series. With deep insight from mainstream publishing, the independent magazine world, and a longstanding commitment to intersectional storytelling, Studio Lemara exists to shape a new literary and cultural landscape - rooted in care, strategy, and the power of narrative.
